Future Internet Congress

Digitalisation is more than just a technology issue – it influences work culture and corporate culture, opens up new perspectives for enterpreneurship, drives economic development, and can help improve the quality of life for each and every one of us.
The basis for all innovations in the Future Internet is data, the raw material of the future. Commercial firms, road transport, energy suppliers and also private users are abundant sources of data. Even now Big Data is already creating new possibilities for evaluating these data, with all the attendant opportunities and risks both for companies and for ordinary citizens.

  • How can data be managed in such a way as to benefit the economy and the society, and how can processes be organised more efficiently?
  • How can smart and intelligent technologies be used to create new business models and innovative start-ups?
  • What opportunities for new and innovative business models in the IT industry can arise in particular from the demand for secure IT solutions?
  • How can digital progress be made competently future-proof?
  • How do we deal with subjects like privacy and data safety, and what challenges still have to be overcome?

Take the chance to discuss these and other present-day issues at the Future Internet Congress 2014with renowned national and international experts from science, internet society and real-life business management. The following speakers have already agreed to take part:

  • Markus Beckedahl, Netzpolitik.org
  • Jan Phillip Albrecht, Member of the European Parliament
  • Prof. Dr. Viktor Mayer-Schönberger, Oxford Internet Institute, Oxford University
  • Frank Riemensperger, Accenture
  • Jens Redmer, Google
  • Karl-Heinz Streibich, Software AG
